The Tasting Room

Body

In the Tasting Room you can try our aquavit, gins, rums and vodka in all sorts of combinations with different tonics or in all kinds of cocktails! We use Third Place Tonic from St John's, FeverTree Tonics from the UK and a range of kombucha from The St John's Fermentary. 

We also have local sourdough bread made by Jamie O'Flaherty, a fine selection of Five Brothers Cheeses from the Goulds, charcuterie from Chinched in St John's, smoked salmon from Witless Bay and a range of chutneys from Steve Curtis in St John's.

The Distillery

Body
Our distillery houses our custom built 1000 litre copper pot still and columns, made by Specific Mechanical in British Columbia especially for us and that is where all the magic happens. To start, we use locally grown barely which is stored in our grain tower. The barley is used to make a ‘mash’ in our 2000 litre mash tun. This mash is then fermented, where all the sugars are turned into alcohol. 
Body
Once the sugars are all converted, the mash is put into the still for the first run. It is run two more times and finally comes out at 94% ABV. We then water it down with our own beautiful water from Clarke’s Beach, which is charcoal filtered to make it even purer and cleaner and the perfect fit for our spirits!

The Shop

Body

Our shop is located at the front of the distillery overlooking Conception Bay. The shops stocks our very own Aquavit, Gin, Seaweed Gin, Gunpowder & Rose Rum, Chaga Rum, Rhubarb Vodka and Vodka along with some fine mixes - Third Place Tonics from St John's and a range of Fevertree Tonics flavours including Mediterranean, Elderflower and Lemon tonics.

We also sell a fine range of handcrafted lotions and soaps from East Coast Glow, chutneys by Steve Curtis, Newfoundland Sea Salt, our own glasses and a selection of our own t-shirts.
